A friend asked me to help spiff up her daughter's room! Princess J's room is already very cute and so helping her mama pull it together will be very fun! The challenge is that Princess J and her mommy live on the other side of the state so we're starting a new sport -- long distance designing!
The client: Princess J is currently 3.5 years old. Her favorite color is pink, of course, as it should be for a princess. She loves to have her bed made up so she can snuggle in. Her needs are simple: she requires room for her babydolls and animals as well as other toys. Princess J also needs some storage pieces for her gowns and tiaras.
Starting with good bones...soft yellow walls, dark hardwood floors and some Javis Davis bedding...makes for a great foundation. We are still in the process so I'll blog as we reach some decisions. We are keeping most things and adding some new furniture, some new fabric accessories, some things for the walls and changing up the layout.
Princess J's nursery started off with the Over the Moon collection from Javis Davis and her smart mama as been able to strategically pull out babyish pieces and bring in big girl elements. In this next phase of going completely "big girl" we'll weed out the Over the Moon fabric completely and stick to plaids, dots, checks and lots of minkee!
bye-bye to the babyish Over the Moon!

Gorgeous! I will have to update Baby Jack's room soon (He just turned one). I'll look through your blog for ideas. Also, I hope to move soon and will have zero money to set up house where I'm going.. Still, that's no excuse for not having a lovely home. :)
You signed in right before me on roll call! Happy Friday!
Great fabric selections!
Can't wait to see the after. Hopefully you post those:)
